Hello everyone - quick update on my sister Carla. She is still in the hospital and all the doctors are perplexed! They can't figure out what is wrong with her - so they are running a bunch of test and are determined not to let her go until they figure it out (which we are so thankful for!).
She is still yellow and still very weak - her immune system is way low - very anemic. She can't hardly eat and her nausea is always there....but, she is in great spirits....very thankful that her sisters buckled down and made her go to the hospital.
Currently, she is being seen by every doctor there is - they are all real involved in trying to care for her.....they are currently leaning towards the following diagnosis - autoimmune hepatitis - which is a very rare blood disorder! Weird....they still have a few blood test outstanding and they are doing a liver biopsy today....hopefully they will have a confirmation afterwards and can start treating her for the blood disorder and send her home!
