Happy Birthday Popsie!!! Another year older and another gray hair that DOES NOT have my name on it. I'll gladly take responsibility for the ones you received in the 90's - but all other's - I can't take responsibility for......maybe Redonia, Trent, and some of the older grands can call dibs on those! LOL
I hope that your day is filled with love, laughter and family. This is the first year in 15+ years that your whole blended family will be together for Christmas Eve and we do this in honor of you! We celebrate your life, your love and your friendship. You are a great dad, an awesome grand dad (Popsie) and a great man.
Thank you for never giving up on me. Thank you for loving me through my rough years and for praying that a good man would come along and "straighten me out!".....(it worked! LOL). Thank you for standing with us when Jake was born so premature and through all of our ups and downs with him in the hospital. Thank you for loving all your kids and grands equal - never dividing.
Mom would be so proud of the man that you have become - I know that she is smiling down on the life that you have built with Shirley.
I love you dad.

ok, so you too are sappy this morning. What has happened to us? Love you!
Ok, I am tearing up!! Bro. Patrick is a wonderful man and I want to wish him a Happy Birthday! He always hugs and says Hi to me when our paths cross. We have known the Patrick family since school days and share some good memories.
Oh how sweet and so true about your dad being the BEST....He truly is!!! You kids act like it's because of me that we all do so well, I have a few comments - you kids are all MATURE adults about situations and that has made a difference with us all to have a great blended family....
If at any time you kids didn't love me you never showed it to me and I never knew it. Karen, I have the beautiful glass tea pitcher that you gave me on the first mother's day after your dad and I married and it was not you at all but all the way me with pretty pink roses on it and I promise I never use it that I don't think about you and knew it hurt you to be buying for me and that your own mom wasn't alive.....I also thank my kids for always showing their love to Popsie even though at times I knew down deep they wished they still had their dad. Hey, your dad and I have our sad times thinking about Raymond and Euna and this is what is so neat about our marriage we know that we can still love the memories from the other without having to hide our feelings or feel like it will hurt the others feelings. I am so glad that you kids can talk about your parents without being afraid there will be hard feelings.....Sounds like we are all bragging but when I hear the horror stories of step families i know we are BLESSED!!!!
love you, Shirley
