Today I was reading my faith to faith book - it's a great Daily guide to Victory and her one today was called "Oppose the Devil". I'll share her words and then my thoughts.....

"submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you". James 4:7

"If you've been crying and asking God to run the devil out of your life, STOP! The Bible says you're the one who's suppose to overcome the devil.

How? By resisting him. By rebelling against him when he tells you to do something and doing what God says instead! When Satan tells you some lie, contradict him with the Word of God. Oppose him. This verse says when you do that, he'll flee from you. He'll "run as in terror".

That means everywhere you go, as you walk in faith and oppose the devil, darkness is pushed back.

So start pushing back that darkness. You can do it. The life of God is within you. Jesus himself is living inside you. Everywhere you go, he goes. Every problem that rises up against you, every evil spirit that tries to influence your life, is coming up against God when he comes up against you.

All you need to do is become conscious of that. Begin now living your life moment by moment, knowing that the light of God is in you. The Word of God is in you. The Spirit of god is in you!

Live knowing that Jesus, the Son of God, is in you!!! Then watch the devil run!!!!!"

wow - isn't that amazing!! If we can get this into our spirits and remember that WE are the ones who have the power to kick the devil in the behind! We are the ones who were created in his (God's) image - we are the one's that he calls his children.....don't you know that is what makes the devil so spitting mad!!! We have the power to come up against him and to know, without a shadow of a doubt, that he has to flee.......

The enemy is sneaky - he will try all kinds of things to knock us down, make us think that we are bad, that no one loves us, that we are all just hanging on to a thread - but, we've got the power of Jesus in us - we have the mind of Christ. One thing that I have started doing when things pop into my mind that shouldn't (like a negative comment about someone or I start obsessing over something that I have no control over or someone did something to me and I let my mind start to ream them out LOL) I repeat the verse over and over in my head that "i have the mind of Christ" and then, I start saying it out loud so that I can hear it and get in into my spirit.

There was an old saying at the church that I use to go to that has stuck in my head all these years and it is this..."if I can get it in my spirit, I can hold it in my hands"......that is so true - if we can get it into our spirits and start believing that when we speak the word over our self and over our situations.......wow - we would be amazed - wouldn't we!

So, get out of the pit - start kicking some major "devil" butt and start walking in faith knowing that God is in control!
