drum roll please............

ok - results are in and Tootsie (my mother-in-law) is FREE AND CLEAR!!!!! She got word tonight that her Pet Scan was clear!!! What a relief - now she can live her life without the worries of "cancer". We believe that she will stay clean and healthy.

Update on my workout/healthy eating: I have been very consistent. I've been very proud of myself!!! I've eaten much better this week and I've exercised consistently...........there were a couple of days that I didn't really want to go to the gym - but, I pushed myself there anyway! I haven't branched out from much more than the treadmill - but, I have put it either on an incline or decline (really cool feature the new treadmills at 24 hour fitness have) and whew - that will rock your legs if you haven't climbed anything lately!!! I also have the walk away the pounds video's by Leslie Sansome that you use in your home - those are fantastic! I did that video on the days that I couldn't go to the gym........her video's take you from either 2 miles up to 4 miles and she also has a band to use for strength training. If you are looking for an in house exercise - this is a great one! I'm two pounds lighter - granted - it's all in my face - but hey - gotta start somewhere!!!! LOL. I know that excerisce is the way to go - I just have to tell my head that! LOL

The marathon is this weekend - how I wish I was there. I know, I know - I can't ever do that again (according to my doctor - because of my health issues from being pregnant) but I can wish can't I??? My husband just shakes his head at me when I mention how I wish I was running again. I know it's hard for those of you who have never run a marathon to think about running 26.2 miles - but it is really addicting when you are doing it. I wish all of those running the very best! Run hard - stay consistent with your time and you'll do great!!! I'm with you in spirit.

Scripture for today: Galatians 5: 22 (Contemporary English version)
"God's spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and SELF-CONTROLLED"! This is how I read it "God's spirit will make me loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self controlled!" (I need more of all of these!!)

Scripture for my memorization with Beth Moore: Galatians 6:10 (CEV)
"We should help people whenever we can, especially if they are followers of the Lord." this is how I read it, "I should be helpful to people whenever I can - especially those who are followers of the Lord".

Be blessed
k

YES!!!! I'm so thankful for Tootsie! Praise the Lord!!!

Girl, I'd be thanking God I had an excuse to not run in the marathon! ha ha I keep telling Kent if he would bring my exercise equipment downstairs I would use it. There's just something about climbing the stairs that I don't like! lol

Have a good weekend.

Michael Ensey will be running on Sunday. We told him we would cheer him on from the pew (will be at church while he is running)
