Ok - I'm ready to move on

I'm ready for my schedule to get back to normal! I am very schedule oriented (wonder where Jake gets it from?? LOL).....and the fact that I've been "out of routine" for two weeks is finally catching up to me....and, I think that Jake and I are starting to get on each other's nerves!!!

We had a great time at the zoo yesterday - he loved all the animals. Every year he gets more and more into the animals.....it was cute watching his face light up as we saw the giraffe's, elephants and his favorite - the lions and tigers! He was digging the snakes too!!!!!! Gross.......

Last night - he got to spend the night with his Nana......he misses not being able to hang out with her much. Prior to this past year, before she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, he would go over there one day a week and spend the entire day and then hang out with her every Sunday afternoon/evening. This past year has been tough on both of them because she has been too weak to watch/play with him and she has missed so much time with him. We also like to take our parents on a vacation once a year - unfortunately, she missed that too.......last year was our first vacation with Popsie and Grammy - we had a great time! We don't take both sets of parents together - not sure my husband could survive that....LOL...... In 2007, we took his parents to Gulf Shores, Alabama and stayed at a resort - the beach was wonderful and Jake had a great time! We were lucky because my parents - Grammy and Popsie - were in Alabama at the same time - so they got to come visit with us. This past year - we took Grammy and Pospie to Branson MO - had a great time! I've already told Grammy to start thinking about where they want to go this year.........we may take Nana/Pop to Tennessee - maybe Pigeon Ford - not sure.....we'll have to see how much traveling Nana can do.....I know Grammy and Popsie can travel - they love it - so I suspect - we'll go somewhere far (Popsie loves to drive!).

Ok -I got a little sidetracked - but anyway - I'm ready for my schedule to get back to normal...there is only so much house cleaning to do, groceries to buy, menu's to plan!!! I'm ready to go back to my 4 days a week job and have some adult conversation!!! LOL. It's amazing how quickly a house returns to shambles's (after it's been clean) when you have a 5 year old at home for 2 weeks!!!!

ANYWAY - hope everyone has a great weekend and good church.

Be blessed.

Glad Jake got to spend the night with his "Nana". He has to do that with us before long. We just have to catch a time that your dad isn't working. He is a Popsie's boy and only likes to stay here when Popsie is off work.
I can't wait until vacation time again....I loved going to Branson with you guys and we did have so much fun and I loved our cabin. We are so fortunate to have Mark for a son-in-law he is one incredible person and so unselfish!!! We love him dearly and not only does he do for us and his parents but he is such a kind person and would help anyone in need. I sure want Nana & Pops to be able to go somewhere this year and we pray daily for her to be totally cancer free real soon. After meeting her I know where Mark gets his sweet nature from and so good to people as she is one awesome lady and so caring for others.
Thanks so much to you and him for going to help our grandaughter, Chelsea last night when she had car problems close to your house. It is a good hours drive from here or for Micah to get to her and it was such a relief knowing you guys would be there so quick for her stranded on the beltway.
Sorry I wrote a blog...HA
love you bunches,
Grammy/Shirley
