Glasses.......again!

How many of you have had to keep glasses on a 5 year old????? I'm beginning to think - it's impossible!!! Today was our 3rd trip to the doctor for more glasses!! We bought the ones that curve around the ear so they would stay on his face - but the way he pulls them off his face is pulling the piece "out of socket" or so they say.............................

We have only had them for 1 year. When they told us he needed glasses - we, of course, didn't have Eye insurance because neither one of us wore glasses - we didn't think of Jake!! We've been through two prescriptions ($500 each) and 3 frames..........needless to say - we got eye coverage at the beginning of this year.....now that we have it - he'll probably take care of them...LOL...isn't that the way it goes!

Now that I'm turning 40 - it seems that I'm needing reading glasses as I struggle to see the computer and my books.......I've always heard at 40 things start moving and shifting........guess I have at least 2 more months before all that happens....then, watch out!

On a totally different subject - my sister-in-law, Courtney, entered in the Houston Cup Floral Design. She had to take an entry arrangement with her in order to place for entry into the Cup. Not only did she win the Houston Cup but her entry arrangement also won people's choice. She now has to place in the preliminary State finals which will be held at the Houston Home and Garden show and if she makes the cut there she goes to State Finals in Dallas. She is awesome with her designs and has her own flower shop in Houston called High's Flowers........if you ever need flowers - she is outstanding!!!!! We are all rooting for her - I know she will rock!

Be blessed
k

oh yeah, I have bought out a frame company by now! (at one point all 5 of us were in glasses!) Now all of us except Tremayne are in contacts. (Tremayne had lasik but now wears reading glasses)

I always took out the extra warranty on the frames for the kids, it would replace up to one pair per year at no extra charge - we always had to do that!
